Aramid (Kevlar) plain weave fabric
Aramid (Kevlar) twill fabric
Description:
Plain weave and twill are commonly used weaving methods in the manufacture of aramid (Kevlar) fabrics. Plain weave aramid fabric forms grid-like structure through the up-and-down interlacing of aramid fibers. In contrast, twill aramid fabric presents a unique "twill line" appearance through the diagonalacing of aramid fibers.
The choice of fabric depends on specific requirements, such as strength, weight, surface finish, drape, and appearance.
Applications:
1. Aviation: Radar radomes, engine fairings, secondary fuselage load-bearing structures, cabin fireproof interiors, wing sandwich panels, tire cord; weight reduction of 25%–40%, impact and fatigue resistance, service life far exceeding aluminum alloys.
2. Aerospace: Satellite structural panels, rocketframes, landing airbags, space debris protection layers, spacecraft thermal protection liners.
3. Military Hard Protection: Armored vehicle / tank composite armor liners, individual ballistic plates, UAVelages, missile casings.
4. Honeycomb Substrates: Aramid fabric impregnated with resin to prepare honeycomb cores, used for lightweight panels in military aircraft and naval vessels
