Plain carbon fiber fabric forms a grid-like structure through the over-and-under interlacing of carbon fibers. In contrast, twill carbon fiber fabric features a unique "twill line" appearance through diagonal interlacing of carbon fibers. Satin fiber fabric is woven using a 4-over-1-under pattern, where every 4 weft yarns float on the surface and only the 5th yarn sinks tolace. This method has fewer interlacing points, allowing the carbon filaments to remain almost straight, which offers advantages such as the highest utilization of fiber strength.
